Wilton is located in Muscatine County, twelve miles north of Muscatine. We are proud to have the Candy Kitchen (listed on the National Register of Historic Places) and the Wilton Depot (also found on the Register) in our friendly little town. We have several charming shops in the downtown area where you may find a little something to take home to remember us by. We also offer three parks, along with an indoor/outdoor pool near the school and the city park. The Junction Lounge offers great food and spirits,and the Wilton Cafe is one of the best cafe's you'll find, anywhere. Get there early for their fantastic breakfast!
Not to miss is the ever-growing historic downtown Muscatine with it's many new shops and eateries. .
Iowa has become the gambling capitol of the Midwest and we are right in the middle of many new and exciting Casinos. In Davenport/Bettendorf , you'll find The Isle of Capri and Rhythm City. Rock Island boasts the new Jumers Casino Rock Island, and to our southwest is the beautiful Riverside Casino and Golf Resort!
If golf is what you enjoy, you've come to the right place. Located just a little more than three miles east is Wahkonsa Country Club. A 9-hole course that will challenge even the lowest handicappers! Muscatine Municipal Golf Course, Whispering Pines, and Geneva Golf & Country Club are all located in Muscatine, while Tipton and West Liberty (each twenty minutes away) have beautiful 9-hole courses, as well!
There is shopping galore within 30 minutes in each direction, with expansive indoor malls in the Quad Cities and in Iowa City. Fifty miles west is the Tanger Outlet mall. While there, be sure to include a trip to the German villages of the Amana Colonies. You won't be disappointed!
